Yo-mufasa with a recipe

Post  Admin on Wed Aug 13, 2008 12:42 pm

Yo mufasa has returned as promised.
This is a Passionfruit Chesecake recipe!

Ingredients:
250g plain biscuits
125g butter, melted
500g cream cheese, room temperature, cubed
½ cup caster sugar
3 eggs
250ml thickened cream
1/3 cup passionfruit pulp (approx 3 passionfruit)

Method:
1.Grease and line base of a 20cm springform
2.Blend or process biscuits until fine. Place biscuit crumbs and melted butter in a bowl; mix well until combined. Press crumb mixture into the base and sides of a prepared pan. Place on a baking tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3.Place cream cheese into a Mixmaster bowl. Beat on High speed , for about 3 minutes or until creamy. Add sugar and mix for a further 2 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating well between each addition. Scrape sides of bowl if necessary.
4.Reduce to Low speed, add cream and passionfruit. Beat until the cream has been mixed through and there are no lumps.
5.Pour filling into crust and bake in oven at 160° for approximately 50 minutes or until firm. Cool in oven with door ajar. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.

ENJOY!!!!!!!!
lOVE,

Dinuka-bad recipe dude

Post  Admin on Thu Aug 07, 2008 8:55 am

Yo mufasa thinks your recipe is bad..........
Lemon bok-choy was better.
Now, my gansgter abilities have allowed me to create one proper recipe.
here it is.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1½ cups pouring cream
1 small bought fruit cake, thickly sliced
50g butter
½ tsp vanilla bean paste
3 egg yolks
1 tbs caster sugar
Cinnamon sugar, for dusting
Vanilla ice cream, to serve

Method:
1 Combine eggs and ½ cup cream in a bowl. Add fruit cake and soak for 2 minutes.
2 Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat, cook fruit cake for 2 minutes on each side or until golden.
2 Combine remaining 1 cup of cream and vanilla paste in a saucepan and bring to the boil over a medium heat, remove from heat.
3 Whisk egg yolks and caster sugar in a medium bowl, gradually whisk in the hot cream mixture. Pour mixture back into the same saucepan and stir over a low heat until mixture coats the back of a spoon.
4 Stack cake slices on a plate and dust with cinnamon sugar, spoon over custard and serve with ice cream.

Please make it and tell this gansgter of a chef how it is!!!!!!!!!!!!
love
yo-mufasa

Lunch

Post  Dinuka on Thu Aug 07, 2008 8:51 am

Well because I'm very hungry I'm gonna give you my recipe which wont help my hunger but that doesn't matter...

1. Take enough cooked rice in a pan
2. Stir in a lot of milk
3. While that 'simmers' throw in some chopped parsley
4. Then cut a tomato in half and squeeze it onto the rice, much like squeezing a lemon
5. Mix in salt to your taste...and volala

Sound good?
